摘要：Introdução: A neoplasia de pulmão é o tipo mais comum entre os tumores malignos. Atualmente, a imunoterapia cresce no cenário mundial, surgindo como uma nova alternativa, associada ou não á radioterapia e/ou quimioterapia. Objetivos: Esse estudo visa analisar a efetividade da imunoterapia na terapêutica do carcinoma de não pequenas células pulmonar. Métodos: Realizada revisão da literatura em base de dados PUBMED e Google Scholar . Resultados: Dois grandes estudos comparam a imunoterapia com terapia convencional e seu uso combinado. Esses evidenciaram redução de risco de morte em 22% e aumento de sobrevida de 42,6% contra 13,2% da quimioterapia. Conclusão: Esse trabalho demonstra que a imunoterapia é muito promissora e que novos estudos são necessários para acrescentar tal opção no tratamento de inúmeras neoplasias. EFFECTIVENESS OF IMMUNOTHERAPY IN THE TREATMENT OF NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER Introduction: Lung cancer is the most common type among malignant tumors. Currently, immunotherapy is growing on the world stage, emerging as a new alternative, associated or not with radiotherapy and / or chemotherapy. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of immunotherapy in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. Methods: Literature review performed on PUBMED and Google Scholar databases. Results: Two large studies compare immunotherapy with conventional therapy and its combined use. These showed a 22% reduction in the risk of death and an increase in survival of 42.6% against 13.2% of chemotherapy. Conclusion: This work demonstrates that immunotherapy is very promising and that further studies are needed to add such an option in the treatment of numerous neoplasms.
