摘要:This research critically analyzes the issue of oppression and its diverse forms in Bapsi Sidhwa’s The Crow Eaters in the light of Critical Discourse Analysis to uncover unequal power relations in the novel. The chief argument of the study is that women are oppressed physically, sexually, psychologically and financially. The main objective of this research is to explore the different forms of oppression, and to identify the linguistic choices which embody female suffrage. The paper examines the effects of male dominance and violence on female’s overall life cycle.
