摘要:Thermogravimetry (TG) experiments with four different heating rates (5, 10, 15, and 20 °C/min) in ambient gases with different ratios of nitrogen to oxygen were performed to determine the oxidation/nitridation properties of three Mg alloys AZ31, WE43 and ZE10, respectively. The mass gain processes of the three types of alloys in pure nitrogen were simpler than those in oxygen/nitrogen mixtures. The results indicated that traditional isoconversional method was not applicable for the kinetic analysis of the Mg alloys nitridation. Then the activation energies of nitridation were calculated by Dreizin method based on the variation of particle diameter. As the content of nitrogen in the ambient gas increased, the mass gain and the reaction heat of the first peak decreased, but the final weight changed a little. The inerting effect of nitrogen on Mg alloy particles was mainly reflecting in lower initial reaction heat and reactant mass during the first violent mass gain process.
