  • 摘要:Biosynthesis of noble metallic nanoparticles (NPs) in mosquito control programme has attracted significant interest due to their environmental friendly and biocompatible properties. In this study, we investigated the syntheses of gold and silver NPsusing plant extracts of Achillea santolina L., which demonstrated good metal-reducing ability. The ob- tained NPs were characterized and analyzed by var- ious spectroscopy techniques. The morphology of AsAgNPs and AsAuNPs exhibited spherical mor- phology with average sizes of 70-80 nm and 95-100nm, respectively. As-AuNPs NPs showed high larvi- cidal toxicity compared with fourth instar larvae of A. aegypti. The biocompatible Au or Ag NPs can be applicable to future larvicides to control mosquito species.
