摘要:This paper attempts to evaluate the scientific contributions of JP Sauvage, recipient of the Nobel Prize in the field of Chemistry during 2016. He has published 429 publications with 28362 citations during his scientific career. Most of the publications have resulted in collaboration which accounts for 414. Organic Chemistry is one of his most favored domains in which he has published 89 publications; most active collaborators are Collin JP 118 with publications, Holler M 80, Chambron JC 58, Frasconi M 53 publications. Journal articles are the most common channel of communication, where he published 323 publications of 429. His research picks top speed in the year 1996 and 1999 in which he has published 28 publications each year. His H-index accounts for 107. Finally paper concluded that Sauvage's contribution in the field of “Molecular Machine” could lead to the design of a molecular computer, placed inside the body to detect a disease before any symptoms are exhibited. Molecular machines have the potentials of becoming the main technology for implementing an advanced medical solution. The study is compiled to prove the JP Sauvage as a source of information for upcoming researchers, fellow scientists, and Library and Information centres in the field of chemistry.
