摘要:Food security is considered a global issue, but which in turn is also an indispensable element of national security, and which must be treated rigorously at country level. Ensuring food security at the country level is achieved when the country’s population is supplied with safe and harmless food and in accordance with the rules, and having free, physical and economic access. The level of global food security is determined by several methods. But the most relevant methodology is based on indicators that are part of the classic pillars of food security, such as availability, access, use and stability. The level of food security in the Republic of Moldova also depends on the level of development of the agri-food complex. For a more thorough diagnosis of food security worldwide to develop the National Atlas of Food Security. The purpose of this study is to conduct an exercise on mapping the situation of the Republic of Moldova on the most relevant indicators that reflect the level of food security at the regional level. The author used scientific methods, such as history and logic, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction. Following the exercise, the author states that food security mapping includes an overview and a visualization of regional differences, which can serve as information support for strategic regional development decisions, as well as identify major problems facing each region.
