摘要：Como um processo de assimilação comum às línguas humanas, a harmonização vocálica que tem por contexto a pauta pretônica, a exemplo de menina ~ minina, coruja ~ curuja, esteve presente no português europeu desde sua infância a seus tempos áureos, que se iniciam com Camões, incrementando-se junto à língua com andar dos tempos até meados do século XVIII, declinando a partir daí para desaparecer do português europeu no século XIX, continuando, todavia, no português brasileiro. Desde então ela se impõe como um divisor de águas: o português brasileiro que a preserva, de um lado, e o português europeu que a negligencia, de outro, dois dialetos da mesma língua.
其他摘要：As a process of assimilation which is common in human languages, pretonic vowel harmony, such as happens in menina ~ minina, coruja ~ curuja, has been found in European Portuguese since its infancy, developing itself with the language over time half way through the eighteenth century, declining since then until its disappearance in European Portuguese in the nineteenth century, continuing, however, in Brazilian Portuguese. It can be seen as a watershed ever since: Brazilian Portuguese preserving the pretonic harmony on the one hand, and European Portuguese neglecting it, on the other hand; to dialects of the same language.
