摘要:This study compares the existence of intolerance acts in Philippines and Indonesia. This study is a qualitative type of research which involves in-depth interview and focus group discussion with the study informants. The informants consist of law enforcement agencies, nongovernment organizations, and religious groups from Philippines and Indonesia. The result reveals that understanding and application of intolerance acts in the Philippines and Indonesia are different. Unlike the Philippines, there are laws in Indonesia defining specific acts of religious intolerance. The acts of religious intolerance are widespread in Indonesia compared to the Philippines.
