摘要：Technopolitics of surveillance: perspectives from the margin starts with a note: in Portuguese the word for politics, policy, and polity is the same – política – so it was necessary to choose one of them. Since the book covers a series of subjects that relates with politics, policies, and polities in the intersections between technology, society, and surveillance, deciding for just one meaning felt limiting. The concept of technopolitics, as we read in the book’s introduction, ranges from new forms of surveillance and control to their resistances and subversions. It also entails controversies, disputes, and struggles that happen within the new sociotechnical arrangements that arise with the intensification of surveillance capitalism.
