摘要:Nowadays heavy metal pollution has become a serious environmental issue.Agricultural waste ma-terial-peanut shell was used for removal of three heavy metal ions from aqueous solution in batch ex-periments.The factors affecting adsorption capacity were adsorption time,temperature,pH,and initial concentration.Based on the results,peanut shell showed the best adsorption efficiency for lead by 9.5 mg/g,followed by copper 9.01 mg/g and cadmium 5.26 mg/g.The adsorption process followed by pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Lang-muir isotherm model and was endothermic and spon-taneous.Further studies should be focused on the de-sorption characteristics of raw peanut shell in batch and column experiments.
