摘要:Leishmaniasis is an infectious disease caused by the protozoan of the genus Leishmania. It is a tropical disease, considered endemic worldwide and the natural infection occurs through the bite of infected sandflies of the genus Lutzomya. Dogs are considered the main zoonotic reservoirs of this parasite and cats are considered to be potential reservoirs of this disease. Thus, the objective of the study was to review the epidemiology, clinical and laboratory findings, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of feline leishmaniasis.
