摘要:The main purpose of this article is to understand the spatial pattern for social space in post-disaster housing reconstruction in Yogyakarta as an actualization of their important socio-spatial space in Javanese dwellings through an in-depth examination and comparative analyses between two-real cases of post-disaster housing in Yogyakarta. The methodology of this research is based on several periods of on-field observation, which including physical data documentary, interview and literature reviews. Items related to development of space pattern and its relation to the activities and social interaction behaviors in the spaces were assessed. Based on the cases, a discussion on how residents adjusted their post-disaster housing were performed, and in conclusion, results suggest that modification were being made in their development of spatial pattern to accommodate their needs of social space in order to maintain users' personal and social lifestyles.
