  • 摘要:Neutral red is used in textile industry as dyestuff. Dyestuffs which remain unchanged throughout the process in the wastewater treatment plants have toxic effects. In this study, removal of neutral red dyestuff from aqueous medium of active carbon obtained from apple peel waste was investigated. For this purpose, the apple peel was pretreated into 2 mm pieces. Chemical Activation of apple peel with ZnCl2 was used in activated carbon preparation. The amount of adsorbed material at different temperatures (25, 35, 45°C) and concentrations (100, 150, 200 ppm)  was determined. In addition to the linear model, 4 different nonlinear models were used to model the adsorbed material. From these models, the best estimate for all temperature values and concentrations gave the cubic model.
