标题：LENGTH-GIRTH AND LENGTH-WEIGHT RELATIONSHIPSOF 13 FISH SPECIES FROM IZMIR BAY (TURKEY)

摘要：The current study established the relationships between total length and body girths (LGRs), and total weight (LWRs) for 13 marine fish species from Izm ir Bay (Turkey). A total o f 1282 specimens from 13 species belonging to six families were examined. The regression slope (b) o f LGRs ranged from 0.200 to 0.737 in Gi o f Merluccius merluccius and Diplo-dus annularis, w ith the corresponding species-values for G2 and G3 being 0.244 to 0.834 and 0.237 to 0.917 respectively. Sparids generally presented the highest slopes between all the girths (Gi, G2 and G3) and total length. Moreover, the regression slope (b) in the LWRs ranged from 2.80+ for 5picara maena (Linnaeus, 1758) to 3.33+ for Boops boops (Linnaeus, 1758) and D. annularis.
