摘要:In this work, we studied the catalytic degradation o f methyl orange (MO) in an aqueous solution by the persulfate (PS) radicals activated by the Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy as the catalyst. The effects o f Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy dosages, persulfate concentration, temperature, in itia l pH, and inorganic salt on the decolorization rates o f the MO were investigated. The generation o f the sulfate radicals is responsible for the MO degradation in the Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy/PS system. The results show that the MO degradation rate increased as the Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy dosages and the persulfate concentration increased. MOdegradation rate decreased w ith the increasing o f the in itia l pH and increasing the temperature from 20 to 5 0 ^ is beneficial for the MO degradation. The degree o f decolorization behaved differently w ith the addition o f different inorganic salt.
