摘要:AbstractThe aim of the study was investigate the DNA polymorphisms ofAspergillus flavusandAspergillus tamariiisolated from regional fungal keratitis cases based on random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analyses. Thirty-twoA. flavusand sixA. tamariiisolates were identified using conventional macroscopic and microscopic features. Five decamer primers were used to amplify the genomic DNA sequences of the test isolates, and 140 total RAPD patterns were generated among them. From each of the 38 isolates, a range of 15–30 RAPD types were revealed. All of these were isolated from male farmers from Tamil Nadu. In the future, RAPD analyses could be employed as a reliable and rapid technique to differentiate among keratitis isolates of fungal pathogens.
