摘要:British historian and essayist Thomas Carlyle is attributed with the saying that “history isthe essence of innumerable biographies”. In many ways, this also applies to fields ofresearch and scholarship. Fortunately in this regard, tourism, as a multidisciplinary field ofresearch and scholarship, has its history and pioneers.
