摘要：The application of K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN’s) to automatic analysis of chromosome images is investigated in this paper. The automatic classification of chromosome is an difficult task because it appears distorted, overlapped, and their images are usually blurred with undefined edges and low level of detail. This paper introduces standard deviation feature obtained from wavelet transform of the image as a criterion to decompose groups of chromosome. The band profile of G-band chromosomes are used as the discriminate feature.
