  • 摘要:The wavelet thresholding technique is an effective way of obtaininga smoothed non parametric spectrum estimate of a stationarysignal. This approach has ability to capture statistically signifcantcomponents of In ln S( f ) at different resolution levels and guaranteesnon negativity of the spectrum estimator. This technique solvesthe problem of specifed noise/resolution tradeoffs by treating thewavelet coeffcients of the additive noise as independent randomvariables. In this paper an attempt has been made to propose a newtechnique to estimate the smooth spectra based on Lifting wavelettransform via thresholding.The selection of thresholds are basedon 1) Gaussian approximation 2) Stain’s Unbiased Risk Estimator(SURE). The variance in the estimation of smooth spectra based onproposed methods is in agreement with those obtained by normalwavelet transform at the beneft of computational time.
