摘要：Electronic government (e-government) has been adoptedglobally by both developed and developing countries. E-government solution providers provide an Information Technology (IT) based solution to strengthen their services to citizens, which were not possible till now. Governments are using tools of InformationandCommunication Technologies to provide various services efficiently. Small townsandrural areas due to long distances were left behind for availing such services; ICT makes it possible to reach to faraway places. Internet has changed society affectedly and technically, a ‘network society’ has been settledit’s the eon of Instagram, Facebook, Orkut and twitter, Whatsapp, YouTube and smart phones.The conception of Cloud computing has extent swiftly through the e-governance. Cloud computing serving nations make countlessexpansions through addressing main healthcare, tutoring, and other societal matters.The use of cloud based e-government is to help the governments in providing best possible services to the citizens and businessesat lower cost and lesstime requirements.In this paper thetechniques of using cloud computing in e-government has been considered and it’s been attempted to ascertain the challenges and benefitsof the cloud to get used in the e-government and suggestions have beenoffered to overcome its failings.
