摘要：Spatial data mining means extraction of useful knowledge from large amounts of spatial data. It’s highly demanding field because huge amounts of spatial data have been collected in various applications, ranging from remote sensing to geographical information system, computer cartography; environmental assessment and planning etc. The huge explorative growth of collected data pose challenges to the research community in terms of ability to analyze. Recent studies on data mining have extended the scope of data mining from traditional based relational and transactional databases to spatial databases. This study provides data mining primitives, typical algorithms, profile procedures and their performances under various situations.
