摘要:AbstractImprovements in engine efficiency are required to meet the increasingly rigorous regulation standards. To achieve this goal, more efficient procedures for modeling system, simulations and model-based control are required. In this paper we propose a methodology to simplify complex engine thermal management models for control purposes. A direct analysis of a complex physics-based model for the engine thermal management system is used to provide a first level of approximation. Singular perturbation is then used to further decrease the complexity of the model without losing prediction performance. The reduced model is then compared to the complete model and simulation results confirm the validity of the approach.
