摘要:The protective effects of curcumin in chromium induced cytotoxicity was evaluated inin vivo animal model using analysis of chromosomal aberrations in somatic cells ofmice. Three doses of curcumin were selected for modulation and given to animalsafter priming with chromium. The animals ware sacrificed 48hr after the treatment andslides were prepared. A significant decrease was observed in the percentage ofchromosomal aberrations when animals were primed with curcumin. The presentresults clearly indicate the protective nature of curcumin against heavy metalgenotoxicity.
