摘要:Occupational health remains neglected in developing countries because of competing social, economic,and political challenges. Self-employment is one of the best employment sources for low income group,which will enable feasibility of own work place and conditions. This study focused on two of self-employedjobs i.e., photocopy workers and auto drivers. Occupational health effects of these jobs were studied througha cross sectional survey. Results from the study indicated musculo-skeletal disorders in auto drivers andrespiratory disorders, physical stress in photocopy workers. This study suggests that reduction of exposuresto various pollutants and change in working environments is likely to improve the health of the workers.
