摘要：This paper aims at studying the effect of migrant remittances on economic growth. To this end, we used a modified version of Kragoz [2009] to examine the relationship between economic growth, migrant remittances and education. The application of cointegration on the variables related to Tunisian economy, observed over the period 1976-2006, points to the presence of a long-term relationship between the studied variables. The obtained results also indicate that the direct effect of remittances on economic growth is negative while the indirect effect induced by the inclusion of education is positive.
