  • 摘要:Removal of congo red from wastewater by using Morus alba L. leaves powder has been investigated. Batch experiments have been conducted to study the influence of different parameters, such as contact time, adsorbent dose, concentration of adsorbate, molarity of sodium chloride, and temperature. The Langmuir, Freundlich, and Dubunin-Radushkevich models have been applied to describe the adsorption isotherms. The sorption mean free energy from Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm has also been determined which indicates physical adsorption. Thermodynamic parameters, such as Gibbs free energy change, enthalpy change, and entropy change of the adsorption processes have been evaluated for the Morus alba L. leaves. A thermodynamic study shows the endothermic nature of the adsorption.
