摘要:In this paper, photocatalytic degradation of 1-Naphthol was investigated in an aerated UV/TiO2 batch system. The effects of influential parameters such as catalyst loading, initial 1-Naphthol concentration, pH value, inorganic salts and type of light sources on the reaction rate were studied, and the optimum conditions for the maximum degradation rate were determined. The photocatalytic degradation process was well described by pseudo-first order reaction. The results of experiments showed that photocatalytic degradation of 1-Naphthol is strongly influenced by these parameters. The optimum TiO2 loading, which provides enough surface area for reaction without irradiation loss due to scattering of UV light, was found to be 1.0 g/l, and 1-Naphthol concentration was 100ppm. Higher degradation efficiency of 1-Naphthol was observed at pH=9 values. Furthermore, the effects of inorganic salts were investigated. Result showed that photocatalytic degradation rate was affected significantly in the presence of carbonate and sulfate.
