摘要:This paper considers the degradation kinetics of activated sludge models (ASM2), and in particular the vital components of slowly biodegradable chemical oxygen demand (SBCOD, XS). In terms of micro-organic growth and metabolism, knowledge on the degradation kinetics process of XS is necessary for optimization of the control measures for wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Using a particle-swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, an analytic methodology was developed for two parameters— the half-saturation constant (KX) in the XS-component degradation kinetics and the hydrolysis rate (kh). This methodology was applied to samples taken from a WWTP in Chongqing (China). The organic aerobic degradation was measured using a previously developed hybrid respirometer. The analytic results demonstrate that, under a similar external environment, the method gives parameter values different to the defaults used in the ASM2. This will enable a practical response to the problems of optimizing and controlling WWTP.
