摘要:AbstractThis study aims to identify contributing factors for urban social sustainability in small-scale built environment units in a Southeast Asian city. A self-administered questionnaire has been administered on a sample of 227 street users patronizing vibrant streets located in the city center of Kuala Lumpur. Through conducting factor analysis, nine constructs including quality of place, participation and accessibility, legibility, adaptability, place attachment, street amenity, food and economic services, heritage and local culture and permeability have been extracted. This study can be used by urban planners and designers to plan and make decisions for creating more socially successful and sustainable places in cities.
