摘要:AbstractThe popularity of green building concepts with its experimental application in western countries and recently in China are often misunderstood and constantly accompanied with obstacles. The purpose of this study is to reveal the inadequacy of current studies on green building and low-carbon building as well as the architect's role in the entire building process. This study introduces an open building concept and its ‘level’ strategy, and explores an appropriate methodology for future long- lasting housing studies and practices, particularly for China and Pearl River delta. Three cases are selected based on different ‘level’ focuses to evaluate its ‘long- lasting’ potentials and shortages.
