摘要:AbstractIn the period from February 2013 to April 2014, it was developed the project “Communication, Education and Social Mobilization in health field, in the city of Uberaba/Brazil: knowing resources and committing rights, by professors and students of the Social Work Graduation Course at Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro - Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, funded by the Minas Gerais State Research Foundation – Fapemig. Aiming to expand and implement the universal access to the Unified Health System (SUS) in Uberaba the following actions were performed: mapping of the demands of users and health professionals in the field of health education and communication, along with the 16 units of primary health care; creation of 60 radio programmes about SUS and the right to health and workshops on humanization for receptionists and managers of health units. From the survey, it was noted ignorance of the needs of health service users and lack of investment in health teams training in the context of education and communication in health, specialized language used by professionals with health users and fragility in conveying information that consider local and regional demands. Health education actions carried out by the project provided humanized and articulate dialogue between public policies and their users, users and teamwork and transmission on the services and social rights. The quality and the way these actions were processed were determinant to the materialization of health policy as universal right to citizens.
