  • 摘要:AbstractInitial reading literacy development constitutes one of the key pillars of primary school education. In view of the current transformation of the content and learning process at this level of school education, initial reading literacy development has experienced a radical change as well. This transformation commenced in the nineties of the last century. Its main principle is literacy approach to initial reading and writing. By literacy approach we mean putting an emphasis on the relevance of education, practical use of acquired skills in common everyday situations and the importance of intrinsic motivation for optimum reading and writing development.The paper will show individual results of a similar survey repeated in 2011 – 2013. The gathered findings will be compared and the way and quality of the innovative transformation of initial reading literacy in primary school practice will be pointed out.
