摘要:AbstractIn the translation of Buddhist scriptures, proper person and place names are transferred by transcription, substitution, and meaning-based translation. These translation methods are for preserving their inherent forms and meanings and conveying exact messages. Accordingly, the aim of this paper focuses on analyzing Chinese-Korean proper person and place names in Buddhist scriptures, the Vajrachedika-prajna-paramita sutra (fx1) and the Sahastra-bhuja sutra (fx2).
