摘要：AbstractElder abuse as one of the types of domestic violence is increasing in the recent two decades. Participants of this qualitative cognitive study were 13 women at the age of ≥60 years, living in Mashhad city in Iran. Data about their daily experiences of abuse were collected by the use of open interviews. Six main themes were obtained, which are financial abuse, physical and psychological abuse, not being independent, lack of interest, low attention, the expectation for estimated daily needs. We can develop strategies for preventing and improving misbehaviour against postmenopausal women by recognizing the related factors.
