摘要：AbstractThis study examines the local knowledge of indigenous communities along theTulang BawangRiver, Lampung, Sumatera, in Indonesia. Local knowledge here refers to ethno technologies owned by the local communities to manage, utilize and care for the nature for sustainable usage. Sustainable developments are often addressed by energy-saving technology. Many development programs in environmental preservation ignore traditional wisdom or local knowledge of the native societies transmitted from generation to generation. Local knowledge has the advantage of being flexible and adaptive in relation to natural changes. Qualitative research methods such as in-depth interviews and observations were used in this environmental anthropology study on ethno ecology and ethno science. The results describe and explain their classification of the rivers, management of natural resources, and sustainable techniques of fish catching. (127 words).
