  • 摘要:This study was conducted with the purpose of gaining information about the practice of using books and reading to preschool children according to the perspective of their peers. Hence this study explains how children gave their response to the book and reading and how they used the book and read to establish adaptation in a class. Therefore, the review of the book and reading to the pre-school children in the context of peers is of paramount importance. The sample consists of 16 children including Malay, Chinese and Indians. A qualitative approach. using the case study was used in the study. Interviews were conducted on six children, four teachers, six parents and a principle. The findings of the study showed that children can develop social skills and be prepared for learning in primary schools. Educationists need to instill within the child reading skills by identifying, reading and relating to books and by enjoying the presence books’. The findings help educators to provide the initiative for the child to read. Teachers can also learn from how children see reading as a creative, imaginative, dynamic and meaningful activity if the classroom is structured in a conducive environment.
