摘要:Quick settlement of iron tailings is necessary for the prevention of environmental pollution, meanwhile high concentration is required for the utilization of the sediment. The effect of the flocculant on the settlement of iron tailings with whole size, >45 and <45 were respectively researched in the terms of settle velocity and sediment concentration. The comparison on the settle efficiencies of different size fraction at the dose of 0.3 and 0.5 ml explained that the flocculant reflects more influence on bridge than viscosity and more influence on ultrafine particles than coarse particles. Different settlement schemes were calculated and compared, the results indicated that pre-classification of the iron tailings is effective for saving flocculant and enhancing the settle efficiency.
