摘要:The present study focuses on the investigation of sorption mechanism of phosphate by sediment based materials. Sorption experiments were carried out using artificial waste water on crushed particles (<1mm). Two sorption kinetic models were used to test the capacity and the mechanism of phosphate adsorption on the materials. The results showed that the sediment based materials which has a large capacity can remove over 95% of phosphate. The sorption kinetics of phosphate was more fitted to the pseudosecond order kinetic than pseudo first order kinetics implying the intramedia diffusion controlling sorption rate of sediment-cement material adsorbing phosphate. Thus, sediment-cement materials could be a promising sorbent for phosphate removal.
