  • 摘要:Horizontal flushing after amendment application to ameliorate low-permeability sodic soil is a site-specific method. Based on a pot experiment, the impacts of horizontal flushing on moderately and extremely sodic soils were studied. The effects of desulfurized gypsum (DG) on horizontal flushing were observed, and the influence of DG on total soluble salts (TSS) flushed and the removal of sodium (TNa^) was analyzed. The experiment had a completely randomized design with four treatments, and each treatment had five replications. Four treatments were designed as MCK (moderately sodic soil), ECK (extremely sodic soil), MGR (moderately sodic soil with 100% gypsum requirement), and EGR (extremely sodic soil with 100% gypsum requirement). All treatments received three consecutive horizontal flushing events. The monitored sodic parameters included Na+ removed by horizontal flushing, total soluble salts removed by horizontal flushing, pH and electronic conductivity (EC) in ponded water, pH, EC, total alkalinity, and sodium adsorption ratio (SAR) in two soil layers (0 -10 and 10-20 cm). The results indicated that horizontal flushing combined with DG amendments is an effective measure for the reclamation of sodic soil. Horizontal flushing could effectively remove the soluble sodium in soil water, which resulted in a significant decrease in the sodicity (SAR) of the soil. The SAR of MCK, MGR, ECK and EGR decreased by 36.6%, 70.8%, 18.6% and 43.1%, respectively. The second horizontal flushing removed a significantly greater (p <0.05) amount of total soluble salts compared with the first and third horizontal flushing, except for one case in which there were no significant differences in the total soluble salts removed between the second and third horizontal flushing in the MGR treatment. The pH of ponded water significantly decreased in the DG treatments (MGR and EGR) compared with the control (MCK and ECK), and there were no significant differences (p>0.05) between the second and third horizontal flushing except in the ECK treatment. As the horizontal flushing increased, the quantity of soluble sodium and total salts removed from the ponded water did not increase accordingly. The MGR and EGR treatments performed better, and the ideal horizontal flushing is two events considering the water scarcity problem in local areas.
