摘要:Employees in the hospitality industry are under continuous pressure to perform better and to develop and adapt themselves to ever-increasing demands and challenges. The purpose of this research was to identify the relationship between the time an employee has been working for the InterContinental Miami hotel, their personality type and their perception of need for growth and personal development. A 74-measurement item survey was used to measure the variables. Surprisingly, the results showed no relationship between job tenure and the need for personal development. Relationships between job motivation and personal development, and the personality type agreeableness and personal development were identified. The data revealed that the relationship between job motivation and personal development turned out to be the strongest.
