摘要：The article makes a comparative analysis of the visita veneral of viceroy La Palata (1683) to two provinces located in the south of the present-day Bolivia. The main objective is to contribute to the general discussion on the causes of migration in the seventeenth Century in the Andes. Our analysis shows, how the mita system not only affected the movements of the indigenous tributary population, but also contributed to the formation of a group of migrants related to mining activities.
