摘要:After the independence processes and the United States intervention as a hemispheric power, Spain lost the last remains of her formerly gigantic colonial Empire. This article deals with Freemasonry’s positions vis-à-vis the century-end colonial conflict; the accusations of break-up responsibility uttered against the Order of the Great Architect by certain socio-political sectors of the country; the effects all of this had on the Spanish Freemasonry; and finally, the reiteration of such complot schemes with regard to the Marruecos Protectorate in the pre-Civil War times.
