摘要：In this work we study the significance of the doceañista liberalism in the transformation of the Spanish monarchy, and in the construction of the Mexican State-nation from 1821. For that purpose, from the historical methodology we discuss the idea of «doceañista liberalism» while at the same time focusing on the relevance it acquired in the debates of the Mexican constituent Congress of 1822.
