摘要：The author provides an overview of the historical research done in Uruguay in the period from the eve of the military coup of June, 1973 to the present a period of the systematic renewal in this area of scholarship. Over these 25 years there have been significant changes in theoretical criteria, research interests, patterns of cooperation among historians, diffusions of their work, and professionalism in the field.
