摘要：Maria of Castile was the queen consort of Aragon between 1416 and 1458. She has been regarded by historians as a sovereign who was uninterested in artistic promotion. This article will argue against this notion by examining some of the pieces of jewellery and other luxury goods that were in her possession. While none of these items have been preserved, documents bear witness to their existence.
