摘要:Sui Sin Far represents the lives of people from the middle and low classes, the ways they are assimilated to the white world, those who find difficulties being naturalized and those who endeavor with their lives to cross the border between Canada and the United States in order to become illegal aliens. In these stories, furthermore, there are not only the possible homology between culture, place and the people moving in; Sui Sin Far also questions a series of problems that are involved with the concept of "home" and "strange land", the west and the Orient, as well as the dualities concerning the centre and the margin.
