With education expected of individuals (students) can develop to their full potential-potential qualified personal. Indicators of school success in carrying out his task can be seen from the achievement of high academic achievement and a variety of specialized skills possessed by learners and not the least of which involves issues related to academics. While students are required to continue to improve academic achievement, in the midst of busyness and density of both school assignments academic assignments or extracurricular activities are followed by the students, so students need to follow the guidance and counseling services in schools to improve academic achievement. With such conditions it is necessary to investigate in depth whether the guidance and counseling itself may play a role in improving the academic achievement of students in school. The purpose of this research is to gain a deep understanding of how the image of the subject received counseling at school, what factors that cause subjects received counseling in schools can improve academic achievement of subjects, and how the counseling process to improve academic achievement subject. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subjects used in this study was a high school student, and had or currently enrolled in a personal guidance and counseling (on their own initiative) in school. In this study subjects consisted of one person. Peengumpulan techniques of data in this research using interview and observation methods applied to the subjects and significant others. Complete with a guided interview, observation and recording device. BK teachers get students to call the obligation to know the students in the field of academic problems, while the students follow the guidance in a personal counseling on second-class second semester, due at first class second semester subjects decreased academic achievement. Therefore, BK teachers regularly send subject came to the counseling room so that teachers can monitor how far the subject BK academic development of the subject. BKTeachers also motivate subjects in learning the subject so that the subject always study hard and persevere in their homework. When the subjects experienced difficulty in the academic field, subject to consultation with subject teachers so that the subject is not BK miss lessons with friends the subject. When the subject was often truant and have a lazy habit of learning, teachers subject BKhelped advise the subject in a way so that the subject has a positive study habits and do not play truant again. With guidance and counseling services provided, can affect academic achievement in school subjects that can be seen from some of the report card grades in subjects which rose.
