摘要：ABSTRACT :Translation is very important for the process of exchanging information and theresult of its invention. Without translating people cannot understand what peopleare talking about or what is written in the books. In translating we canunderstand the process of it. The aim of this paper to translate short story andto describe in translating from English into Indonesian. There are fivetranslation procedures in translating 35 data in short story Murder at Halzemoorfrom English into Indonesian. Procedure that are taken by the writer aretransference and cultural equivalence each is 11. The writer uses a libraryresearch in translating the article Murder at Halzemoor and has sometheories of translations
