摘要:Vocabulary is an important element in language. Without vocabulary, wecannot communicate effectively. This study aims at finding out the problems inteaching vocabulary through pictures, the strengths and the weaknesses in teachingvocabulary through pictures. The writer uses a qualitative method. The result of theobservations shows that the problems are some students do not pay attention to thelesson, the strength is pictures are easy to understand especially by the children. Thispictures are so simple and easy to use. The weakness is the students cannot rememberthe words based one what they saw on the pictures. So, this technique will be benefitfor those who have weaknesses in visual memory.KeyWords: Teaching, Vocabulary and Pictures.
