摘要：PT. Mayasari Bakti is a public transportation company in DKI Jakarta. In order to win thecompetition in its service area, PT. Mayasari Bakti utilizes and exploits the fast, accurate andcomprehensive computer-based information systems providing information for itsemployees/workers.The system design tools employed in this study are data flow diagram, entity relationshipdiagram, normalization and data dictionary consecutively used for describing the networkmodel of system functions, designing the database and as communication medium forsystems analysts, programmers and users.The development of the information systems begins with the system, database, input,process, output, network control design, then proceeds with the computer hardwareselection and the software establishment using SQL Server 2005 as the database engine.The study uses a structured approach for information system development. The systemmodel consists of three input sub-systems (data processing, research, and intelligence)and four output subsystems (employee, vehicle, route and SPJ deposit data).Keywords: management information systems, transportation, data flow diagram, entityrelationship diagrams, data base.
